This week, though, came word that the Deus Ex series is being revived. In an video interview with MusiquePlus, Eidos France director general Patrick Melichor revealed that a new game in the series was in the works at the British publisher's recently formed Montreal, Canada, studio. "The first mission for the team will be to bring back to life an extraordinary title called Deus Ex," said the well-groomed Melichor. The executive also revealed that some 40 developers would be committed to the project.

Endalgi said kõik esimese osa lõpud ära tehtud.
ikka tasub
aga jah dx 1 olen ma ikka väga palju läbi teinud (realisticuga) mingi 20 vähemalt.
küll olen teinud pmst ilma tapmata jne..

The first details on Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex 3 have been revealed, in the pages of PC Zone's landmark 200th issue.
It's out in the shops on Thursday, but PC Zone subscribers are reporting that copies of PCZ number 200 have hit doormats this morning. The cover game? Deus Ex 3 - the long-awaited return of the world's favourite nano-augmented RPG-shooter.
In essence, it looks and sounds fantastic. The art direction is a beautiful meld of the renaissance and cyberpunk (tying into the game's Leonardo Da Vinci motif) and is going for a lot more stylised look than the sort of game that comes from the Unreal Engine cookie-cutter.
It sounds like Eidos Montreal isn't leaving anything to chance; a "powerful, layered" plot is promised for the third game - which has been confirmed as a prequel set in 2027- and the dev has even drafted in the consultative talents of original writer Sheldon Pacotti, while also gaining the blessing of both Harvey Smith and Warren Spector on the project.
You're cast as average joe Adam Jensen, who works as a private security officer at a technology lab specialising in biomechanical augmentations, a forerunner to the sort of nanotechnology shown in the original Deus Ex. One day the path of his life is unexpectedly altered as a team of black ops commandos break into his company's HQ, and using a security plan from Jensen's own hand, a mass slaughter ensues and the conspiracy begins.
"Deus Ex 3's vision of the future sees holographic screens flicker atop ferries moving back and forth in front of the Shanghai skyline, now split into two layers with the rich on the top and the poor in perpetual twilight below," says PCZ.
Eidos Montreal says it's more than aware of fan reaction to controversial second game, Invisible War, and promises mistakes, such as limiting ammo types to just one, won't be repeated.
This said, they are doing their utmost to please newcomers as well as existing fans. Perhaps controversially this time around combat won't be influenced by stats, but will rely purely on your personal marksmanship skills. Instead stats will influence "a vast array of fully upgradeable and customisable weapons", and you'll be able to tailor your arsenal to your play style with mag upgrades, scopes and other add-ons.
What's more, stealth will now rely on a cover system rather than shadows, and damage will be dealt with by a very Call of Duty-style auto-heal. There's probably going to be some debate over those two.
Augmentations have been bumped up and sound fantastic. 20 have been promised for the final game, ranging from 'bungee jump' tentacles that shoot from your back and anchor to a wall when you jump off a building, and the ability to punch through walls to grab enemies in neighbouring rooms.
Deus Ex 3 certainly sounds very, very promising - if a little controversial for die-hard PC fans. And just wait until you see the shots...
For more info and the first screenshots see the full ten-page preview in the 200th issue of PC Zone, out October 9 (and in subscribers' hands now). Happy 200th issue, by the way.
Deus Ex 3 is indeed an RPG. It's a hybrid action/RPG just like the first game. There is a skill system where you upgrade your character (Adam) based off experience points you earn and you can do the same thing with weapons. It's a game with a very detailed plot with numerous characters you interact with. The gameplay takes the form of a consequence-driven multi-path, multi-solution approach in a non-linear space.
For stealth, that is another major pillar of gameplay and we do have it. The difference is that it's now cover-based rather than "shadow/light-based" as in the past games.
teine suhteliselt kindlalt, esimene olenevalt praktilisest toimimisest. _________________ - londiste
Kõige rohkem meenutab see mulle GitS Innocence'i (uue ja vana sümbioos).
V2hemalt on midagigi head Deus Ex 3 puhul. _________________ ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

The first screens and info from Deus Ex 3 have been released. It is under development at the new Eidos Montreal studios.
The game takes place in the year 2027 and the main character Adam Jensen is a security guard at a biotech company called Sarif. One day the offices are stormed by men in black and almost everyone is killed... almost. Jensen survives and makes it his business to find out what has been going on.
We will have to wait until 2010 before Deus Ex 3 is released. It will be interesting to see if it can live up to the original after the sequel failed to set the world on fire.
What Rene has said:
RPG
Deus Ex 3 is an RPG. An action/RPG like the first one (Deus Ex).
I think there's some confusion between the words "skill" and "stat". I know some people are concerned that DX3 will lack RPG elements because of a couple other game design choices, but don't worry, it doesn't. It's an action/RPG like the first game even with the changed aspects.
FIRST PERSON OR THIRD PERSON
The game is FIRST person, but switches to third person for some contextual actions which you have to enable.
You, as the player, have the ability to swap between views in certain situations...it's a first person game but there are times where you may want you to see Adam doing cool things. It's contextual and you have to enable it by pressing a key. It doesn't happen on it's own.
AUTO HEALTH
Deus Ex 3 will use auto-health regeneration. This is a departure from the original but the industry as a whole has grown up and changed quite a bit in the last eight years and the designers didnt want people exploring levels just for health packs or having to reload to an old save game because they messed up a scenario and couldnt advance. I know some people actually liked the exact scenario I just described but this is a decision the team made.
I said "something" has "changed". I didn't say a major gameplay mechanic has been removed. I wanted to share some things with you guys but maybe I need to be more careful if things are going to be so horribly misconstrued. The alternative is to say nothing at all and I definitely don't want it to come to that point.
COVER SYSTEM
The design has been updated to utilize a cover system should you choose to engage it. As the game is still 1st person, its only if you press a key when up against a wall that the view changes to a 3rd person perspective. As soon as you move away from the wall, the game returns to 1st person automatically.
So it's just an option if you want to play that way. If you like the good 'ol DX1 style, you don't have to engage the cover system if you don't want to, so you'll see even less of the contextual 3rd person elements. You can just as easily walk up to that same wall in 1st person and never see the 3rd person cover. Its just an option if you want to see the way Adam looks with augmentations youve chosen throughout the game.
STEALTH SYSTEM
Stealth in DX3 is based off line-of-sight and sound propagation. You can hide everywhere you see fit as long as youre hidden by an obstacle and you dont produce too much noise. Think MGS1&2. In the first DX an enemy could be three feet in front of you but as long as you were in darkness he would not detect you. I mean, graphically in DX3, you still have light and shadows but the shadows are no longer used as the primary stealth element; its line-of-sight.
STORY/PLOTLINE
The story and conspiracy elements are every bit a Deus Ex game. It's awesome.
The writing team at EM is made up of many talented and experienced people. And did you notice the Sheldon reference...?
MULTIPATH/NON LINEAR
It's still based around making decisions which have consequences, selecting from a multi-path, multi-solution approach in a non-linear space (think DX1 not Invisible War), and you're able to customize your character (Adam) as well as your weapons. DX3 is an action/RPG just like the first game.
When it comes to freedom, having space to search and roam in, and to run the streets and sewers, don't worry - we have that.
This was just a magazine first look. That stuff will come next time.
AUGMENTATION & TIMELINE
Adam has mechanical augmentations. Paul and JC were the first of the nano augmented. That's why it makes sense as a Prequel...remember Anna and Gunther were mechanically augmented. And with mechanical augmentations, you will actually be able to see Adam look awesome whereas JC looked pretty normal.
LOADING/LEVEL CHANGE
Our tech supports streaming of data so the transition from indoors to outdoors will be seamless.
FETUS IN TRAILER
I don't think it's a character in the game. I think it has hidden meaning...
HACKING
Hacking is a major pillar of gameplay and is certainly not a mini game. (Sorry Bioshock)
Hacking in Deus Ex 3 is a significant gameplay option which you can modify with augmentations if that's the way you develop your character.
Our hacking is well beyond a "mini game" and is really freaking cool.
CHOICE & CONSEQUENCE
The social aspect of the game is extremely important. Do not fear.
Choice and consequence is a major design influence. This is still a Deus Ex game.
GLOBAL/LOCAL/SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT
Don't worry - we know that traveling the world is one of the core values for Deus Ex...
You have city hubs to explore in a non-linear fashion.
There are different routes and different ways to complete an objective.
The social element is huge. There are tonnes of characters to interact with and the story is massive with a global conspiracy.
CHARACTER/AUGMENTATION DEVELOPMENT
You do gain experience points throughout the game which you can use to either upgrade yourself or your weapons. It's a choice.
There are many augmentations in the game so like the first one, you can choose how your character (Adam) develops.
Dominus, mis seal ikka deus sex 3-s on cyborgid, mingi bea bossu vms?
Enivei, damn, tuletasid selle linkiga mulle deus ex theme meelde, aahhh vääähe nostalgiline........................ swiiiit.
