no making of ei tähenda et ju et peaks töö protsessi pidevalt lindistama... sobib rahulikult ka näiteks see, kui käidii ternobõlis tiimiga, miskid üritused, arendajate kommentaarid featurede kohta siis kui mäng valmis (et kuidas tehti jne) jne...
fear'i making of oli päris huvitav vaadata nii... (fake caustics jne )

Jah siis näitaks tagajärgi ka(fake!) kus vennad kõik kiiritada saanud ja lapsed tulevad väärakad jne.

Ja oli veel aeg, kus ma uskusin et see tuleb enne Doom3 välja D3 engineile juba kolm eraldi mängu tehtud ei tea kes rohkem pappi teenis nende aastate jooksul.

Greetings, all! Last month I took a trip to Ukraine, to the studios of GSC, to play their upcoming futuristic shooter, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. don't ask how I got to do this; I'll only say that my position in one of the leading game review websites has its perks.
I was met in front of the building by Oleg Yavorsky, the head of PR for GSC. He led me into a dark room with a comfortable chair set in front of a flatscreen LCD monitor.
"Welcome," he said dramatically as he turned on the monitor, "To Chernobyl."
The game was already opened. I selected "New Game," and, after a brief loading screen, the intro movie began playing.
"Chernobyl, 2006."
A peaceful countryside, the twin cooling towers of a nuclear power station spewing water vapor on the horizon. Birds chirped, a gentle breeze rustled through the grass.
Then it all went to hell.
The screen goes black.
"The Zone, present day."
The screen seems to open, like an eye after a long sleep; the image is blurred. Blinks once, twice, and it becomes clear.
A fat bald man is leaning over me.
"You're awake. Good."
I get up.
"You're a Stalker. That means you belong to me. I'm the Dealer, the only one in these parts. You want to buy or sell anything, you do it with me. Got it?"
He didn't wait for me to respond before continuing, "You should go to the bar, and talk to the bartender. He'll give you a mission. After you're done that, come back here, and we'll talk about getting you a weapon."
I walked to the door of the run-down little shack. I trembled in excitement as I pushed the door open. This was S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Bleak and desolate landscape practically assaulted my eyes. The little town outside the Zone was gloomy and dark, even in the harsh daylight, exactly as I had imagined it. Some say that the engine would be outdated by now; they're wrong.
A little way down the road to the right was a high chain-link fence and a guarded gate into what I knew would be the Exclusion Zone. Across the street was an old, vandalized building with a grimy sign bearing cyrillic letters spelling out "Bar" in Ukrainian. This was my destination.
I approached it, marveling at how undeniably beautiful the desolation looked.
The bar was lit by a single bare bulb hanging on a thin wire from the ceiling. It cast harsh shadows on the hunched patrons scattered in booths around the edges of the building. There was a grizzled-looking man standing behind the bar, wiping glasses with a dirty rag. As I approached the bar, some of the patrons stirred and began talking to each other.
"Another Stalker..."
"Yeah, new meat."
"I give him a week."
"A week? Look at him. He'll be dead in five, wish he was in three..."
The bartender put down the glass and tossed the rag over his shoulder. He fixed me with an appraising stare, then asked, in French-accented Ukrainian, "What'll you have?" A little icon showed up on the screen, indicating that I could talk to him.
I entered the dialog. Conversation in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is based on a branching dialog tree, with each choice affecting subsequent options. At this point, there was only one dialog option, and I chose it: "What've you got?"
"Let's see... we've got vodka, some more vodka, and, oh, a fresh case of vodka just came in from Russia."
Two more options. Arbitrarily, I chose the first, "I'll have a peach shnapps."
The bartender looked angry. He reached under the counter and pulled out a double barreled shotgun. "I got your peach schnapps right here..." A resounding boom, the screen splattered red, and as it faded to black I heard the bartender say, "...smartass..."
The Zone, I reflected, is truly a harsh place. I started over.
I was eager to get back into the game, so I skipped the intro movie and rushed through my conversation with the Dealer. He gave me the mission again, and I went back to the bar. I went through the dialog again, and this time chose the second option.
"Smirnoff, please."
The bartender grinned and pulled a bottle from the shelf behind him. Let me take another moment now to tell you about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s graphics: they're awesome. For example, the bottle Mr. Barkeep pulled was detailed enough that I could read the label as he poured a few fingers into a dirty glass: scratched and smudged, with the word 'methanol' barely visible. I could even see the faint outline of a dead rat floating in the bottle. Disgusting, but so beautiful.
Anyway, my character didn't seem to mind; he downed the liquor, and the dialog box popped up again. I picked the only choice, "Give me another."
Barkeep filled the glass again, and my character quickly drank it. I picked the only dialog option again, "Another."
Six drinks passed this way. I started looking for a way to leave the bar, or not order another drink, but I couldn't close the dialog. I could only keep ordering Smirnoff after Smirnoff, and my character kept throwing them back like it was water. The dialog options were getting more slurred ("Anuzza!" ), until my character was only grunting and spitting, gesturing wildly at his empty glass, and the barkeep kept pouring.
After the eighteenth drink, the screen went black. There was a thud. Worn letters faded into view: Game Over.
I started a new game.
This time, I decided to ignore the Dealer's advice, and just head straight into the Zone.
"You cannot go into the Zone yet. Talk to the Bartender to get a mission first."
I went back to the bar, and tried talking to the other patrons. The ones that didn't curse and throw empty glasses at me said that I should talk to the bartender. So, I did...
"I'll have a peach schnapps." BOOM!
I tried again, but ended up passed out, piss drunk, on the floor after only sixteen drinks.
I looked over at Oleg, who was grinning broadly.
"Ha ha, designers love to joke," he told me. "I have the real game. Here it is."
He pulled a DVD from his bag, and put it in the drive. He continued to speak as it began installing.
"In fact, this version was built just yesterday. It has all of the content and only a few bugs left to fix. All of the A-life features are complete, all of the art assets and quests are done, we only have to smooth out a few bugs."
The game finished installing and Oleg started it up. Cosmetically, it looked identical to the previous version I had played. I started a new game.
The introductory video was the same, as was the waking up sequence, and the Dealer's speech. "You should go to the bar, and talk to the bartender. He'll give you a mission," he told me. I set out.
In the bar, I ordered a peach schnapps, and was promptly blown away again. I glanced over at Oleg; he frowned and motioned for me to start over.
I tried entering the Zone, but, again, was reminded that I needed a mission from the bartender.
In the bar I ordered a Smirnoff, and drank myself into oblivion.
Oleg had been getting increasingly agitated as the vodka flowed. When the "Game Over," faded into view, he pulled a cell phone from his pocket, quickly dialed, and began speaking into it in terse Ukrainian.
"Where's the rest of it... what do you mean, that's all...? I... f---!" He turned very red and put the phone away. "You... you have to go now."

Eelnevatel lehekülgedel on sellest juttu olnud, et võibolla nuditakse stalker ära (nt. masinad välja jätta). Kogemused näitavad, et tihti.. kui asjad venima hakkvad, ei tulegi sealt midagi head - kardan, et stalkeri puhul võib nii minna.
Samas on stalkeri tüübid juba palju karmi tööd ära teinud (nt ai, eriti loomade ai), mida võib tulevikus teistes mängudes kohata.

Kusjuures üks hästi põhjalik stalkeri fänsite oli olemas (millele on viide ka stalkeri ametliul kodukalt) Viimane uudis, mida sealt lugesin oli umbes järgmise sisuga "ma olen pühendanud kaks aastat oma elust sellele mängule ja firmale, kes lubas meile, et stalker saab valmis. nad on korduvalt kuupäevi edasi lükanud, pühendunud fännidele valetanud ja ma olen kibestunud & ei tegele selle leheküljega enam".
Omamoodi humoorikas, tüübist natuke kahju ja sellest veel rohkem, et link lehele on surnud.

Nad võivad venitada sellega, see mäng ei maksa sittagi võrreldes Californias toodetud mängudega.
Palga vahe on arvatavasti 5-10 korda, rent samuti ja sisse pole nad vist midagi ostnud Stalkeri jaoks.
