Antivirus solutions are becoming so yesterday in 2017, so security company Symantec has decided to go to the next level with a brand-new router whose purpose is to block intrusions before they actually reach your connected devices.

Called Norton Core, the router was on display at CES 2017, and it is capable of scanning packets of data transmitted by your connected devices to detect malware or any form of suspicious activity that could put your information at risk.

Symantec equipped the router with super-powerful hardware to make sure that connection speed is not impacted, so it features a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor that can guarantee a maximum speed of 2.5 Gbps.
