Poodiumil oli kuulda "boo"-tamist. Google andis vastuse, et tegelikult bootati Hamiltonile trofee ulatanud poliitikut.
Põhjus ka: "Ok Australia has 6 states and 2 territories and a Federal Government. They all have legislative power. That guy is the premier of the state, ie He is the main politician leading the state, not to be confused with the Prime Minister head of the Federal Government. The premier of Victoria is the one people booed. Another premier/state governments want to try steal the F1 GP away from the state of Victoria, and he does not want to "protect it" because the gov pays money to rebuild the track ect each year. Instead he wants to sit on the wall so he doesn't get flamed for even more hate....and thats why after 2020 the f1 could move from Melbourne to another australian city which would suck "
Ma arvan, et paar sellist sõitu veel ja pealtvaatajad muutuvad rahulolematuks.

Australian GP - Preview
2015-03-15 00:00:00 (This report was written at 2015-03-11 14:56:44)
The real action finally gets underway in Melbourne this weekend and a few questions will be answered and some will not. Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit is not like the Barcelona track were the bulk of pre season testing took place and do not be surprised if there is some change in the form shown at Barcelona. Albert Park is a medium speed semi street circuit rather than the purpose built and aero crucial Barcelona. It is more of a ‘point and squirt’ circuit where braking into and good traction out of the corners is important to a good lap time.
The weather in Melbourne can be a very mixed bag and while it looks like a largely dry weekend there will be enough fluctuation in temperatures to keep the engineers on their toes. The tyres have already been branded a little conservative and how they behave on a hot Saturday qualifying compared to a cooler Friday will be interesting and the temperatures are due to fall again for the race, so there could be a few moans about the rubber.
With this being the first race of the season, reliability is always more of an issue than in later races and some teams come here in better shape than others in this respect. Last season there were odds of 33/1 that NO car would finish the race, such was the concern over reliability of the then brand new V6 Turbo Hybrids. As it turned out we had fifteen cars crossing the finish line albeit with Bianchi not classified being 8 laps behind and Ricciardo later disqualified for illegal fuel flow rates. As always the engineering prowess of F1 teams should not be under estimated and getting home in the first race is the target.
The Mercedes duo of Hamilton and Rosberg dominate the betting (as they will do all year) and such is a) their reliability and b) their superior pace shown in pre season testing that only bad luck or a rare mechanical failure stand in their way. It is hard to see reliability being an issue given their performance in testing were they racked up over 3800 miles with only minor problems and all the Mercedes powered cars covered nearly 11500 miles, so they will all be pretty confident of getting a finish.
Ferrari powered cars (Ferrari and Sauber only) also ran with good reliability and clearly better performance than last year’s unit. It is not up there with the power of the Mercedes units but they have closed the gap, improved its race pace and pulled ahead of Renault. The French manufacturer has also improved their power units but not to the degree that Ferrari or Mercedes have and in terms of the quickest times set in testing only Carlos Sainz in the Toro Rosso made the top 10.
The only outstanding failure in testing was McLaren and its new Honda power unit. Honda has had an extra year to prepare, has seen how the others have built their units and were expected to hit the ground jogging if not exactly running. Sadly they hit the ground more like a drunken man falling out of the pub. A pathetic number of laps completed and the power unit never run at full power. They will not have got to the bottom of how it all works and what other nasty surprises lurk within. It will be a steep learning curve but there does seem to be a good deal of confidence at McLaren that when they do get everything working they will have a car to challenge Mercedes. We will wait and see but just getting a car to the finish in Melbourne will be progress.
The Runners and Riders:
Mercedes – anything other than a 1-2 finish will be a disappointment for Mercedes but Melbourne does often throw up the unexpected and the pole position driver has only won six of the last fifteen races and five of the last ten, so history warns us that the Mercedes on pole and to win is not quite like finding money in the street. Hamilton has the better track record of the two drivers but that counted for nothing last year when the curse of pole position struck him on the opening lap and he was retired on the second lap. Rosberg picked up the win despite only qualifying 3rd.
Williams – Arguably had a chance to win this last year but Bottas made a mistake that cost him a podium and a shot at Rosberg later in the race. They come here again as best of the rest but need to be faultless if they are to put any pressure on Mercedes and fend off the resurgent Ferrari. The good news is that the new car is said to be a much more stable beast and that will be most useful around Albert Park. They should get a podium finish but can we trust Williams not to drop the ball at some point?
Ferrari – Impressive in pre season testing and much improved on the 2014 car and power unit. New boy Vettel replaces Alonso and a happy Raikkonen actually seems upbeat. One word of caution is that they may be running the engine at a slightly detuned level for the race to ensure reliability. If so they will struggle to beat the top Mercedes cars. Top 6 finish is a minimum requirement after a successful test program.
Red Bull – Still handicapped by a relative lack of power and they have to rely on having the best aero package to be able to compete in the best of the rest battle. Long run pace indicates they were a couple of 10ths off Ferrari and a little more behind Williams but much the same as Toro Rosso. Ricciardo was quicker than Kvyat but Red Bull really need more horse power if they are to hold on to 2nd place in the constructors. Renault will use its remaining development tokens later in the season but for now Red Bull are at a disadvantage.
Toro Rosso – Last season Toro Rosso often got more out of the Renault engine than Red Bull or Lotus, perhaps the reason why they broke it so often, and in testing they showed well with Sainz ‘s best time 0.5 better than Ricciardo’s in the Red Bull. Toro Rosso also completed more test miles than Red Bull and they come to Melbourne very well prepared.
Much has been made of Max Verstappen’s age and 17 does seem an insanely tender age to be racing in F1. However there were plenty of track watchers who were very complimentary about Verstappen’s driving style and ability to bang in consistent times lap after lap. He has been raised to be an F1 driver and so long as he is physically able to cope with demands of a long race then I think he will be a pleasant surprise, with the inevitable mistakes along the way. He would seem to hold the edge on team mate Sainz. Ready to score points on debut.
Sauber – On the plus side Sauber set some quick times in testing and completed more laps than everyone bar Mercedes. That means they have a better and more powerful car this season and points are a possibility. But take away the super soft tyres, put in race fuel and Sauber looked very much a midfield, maybe rear of midfield. The car said to be nervous under braking and that is the last thing you want around this circuit. Sauber should be able to score points here and there this season but maybe not this week. Ericsson never showed much at Caterham but it was a very poor car and hard to impress in. Nasr appears to have the edge on the Swede. However it may well turn out that Van der Garde ends up in one of the two seats if Sauber’s legal appeal fails later today.
Lotus – A bit like Sauber, Lotus set some fast times in testing but on the longer runs they were not so impressive. The arrival of Mercedes power will be a big plus but they were a bit late coming to the test and didn’t get a lot of miles under their belt which is important when you are bedding in a completely new power unit. The car is said to be a bit of a handful and while the overall package has great potential but its limited running means that realising it is still some way off.
Force India – What little we saw of the 2015 car looked reasonably good but with less than 900 miles on the clock it is clear that Force India are not properly prepared for the opening few races. The team has good level of continuity and should be able to get up to speed reasonably quickly but they will be a little on the back foot in Australia.
McLaren – Simply not ready to race right now. This will effectively be another test for McHonda who really need to get the power unit working properly and ironing out the inevitable bugs that will crop up.
Manor – Marussia – If McLaren are under cooked then Manor are completely raw. The car hasn’t turned a wheel yet but as it is basically a 2014 car with a few modifications then I suppose it could be reliable straight out of the box, but it will still be as slow as a week the gaol. Can they even make the 107% rule in qualifying? That is about the limit of their ambitions.
Recommended Bets:
Mercedes are everyone’s favourite to clean up this weekend and are priced accordingly. Hamilton is 11/10 favourite to win, Rosberg 9/4, they are 1/3 to be the highest scoring team, 4/5 for the dual forecast and so on. 11/10 Hamilton is a fair price but this is Melbourne, the first race of the season and funny things happen here, especially the poor record of the pole position driver and that looks certain to be a Mercedes. Enough to give me cold feet and to look elsewhere for better value.
2 points Max Verstappen to finish in the points @ 3/1 with Stan James (11/4 Skybet)
Going for the new boy in the Toro Rosso. The odds are way out in my opinion as with McLaren out of the picture, Lotus and Force India not quite ready yet, Sauber suspect on a heavy braking circuit, the coast is clear for a solid run from a well prepared team who have scored points here in three of the last four seasons. When you consider that Button is only an even money shot to score points, in a car that is slow and unreliable, 3/1 is decent value on a live chance.
1 point double points finish for Toro Rosso @ 9/1 with Ladbrokes
Again decent odds on a well prepared team doing exactly what they did last year. Having two rookies behind the wheel is not ideal but the odds are too good to miss.
1 point e/w Kimi Raikkonen w/o Mercedes @ 5/1 with Boylesports
A much improved car, a driver with a fine track record and a driver with car built to suit his style. Ferrari really should be aiming for a top 6 as the minimum target in this race and the rejuvenated Raikkonen looks a bit underestimated to me. Williams should be Mercedes closest pursuers but they dropped the ball here last year and they are a bit hard to trust to finish the job. At his best Raikkonen is fantastic and he makes very few mistakes when he is in the groove. Hopefully Ferrari will not have to turn the engine down too much.
There will be an update after Friday’s free practice, looking at qualifying and any further race bets.

Australian GP – Saturday Update
2015-03-15 00:00:00 (This report was written at 2015-03-14 17:18:06)
No real surprises from qualifying but with the big gap between Hamilton and Rosberg, the Germans mountain just got a lot steeper. Mercedes remain in a different formula to the rest, nearly 1.4 seconds clear of the best of the rest, Felipe Massa in 3rd place. Williams probably didn’t do as well as they might have been hoping for and this does not look like a track that really suits their car. Bottas has said that, like last year, their package will be better suited to tracks with longer straights.
There is a doubt over Bottas actually driving tomorrow have he suffered severe back pain in qualifying. He has been sent to hospital for some tests but even if he takes his place on the grid, if the pain returns it will be hard for him to last the distance. No replacement driver is allows after qualifying has taken place.
Ferrari split the two Williams and Vettel and Raikkonen were just 0.03 seconds apart. Vettel starts 3rd but Raikkonen said that he made a mistake on his last flying lap which cost him a couple of 10ths. There is no doubting that Ferrari is back but which driver will come out on top? It is going to be a fascinating battle between the team mates all season.
Ricciardo only managed 7th and said that was as much as they could achieve which means he is 0.6 behind the Williams of Massa. They are some way off the battle to be best of the rest and Renault is getting the blame again. However with the Toro Rosso of rookie Carlos Sainz being just 0.18 off the pace of Red Bull, maybe it is just that the Red Bull is not a great car. The car is not very fast but crucially some unreliability has crept back in and this will be a challenging weekend for Red Bull. Kyvat said he was guessing rather than driving and Ricciardo had to bust a gut just to get 7th.
Toro Rosso were actually disappointed to just have one car in the top 10 as the car certainly has the pace but Verstappen’s mistake knocked him down to 12th. Their long run pace in testing was impressive and if we can have a clean first lap than our earlier bets can still land.
Lotus got both cars into the top 10 which underlines the advantage of using Mercedes power but the car did look to be a real handful when running on the medium tyre. Holding their position in the race might be difficult for them.
Kvyat’s 13th place underlines that the Red Bull is not in great shape while Sauber have Nasr in a good 11th place but Ericsson a very poor 16th. It might have been a mistake but I am reaching the conclusion that Ericsson is simply not very good. Force India is just not ready to race just yet but they were not that far off a Q3 time so there is potential there.
The same cannot be said of McLaren who limped around at the back of the pack with a de-tuned engine and it was all very humiliating for the whole team. The power unit from Honda is so far behind schedule it is unreal and Alonso must be hoping he gets another bang on the head as soon as possible otherwise he is going to have suffer the indignity of getting lapped numerous times in Malaysia. Button has yet to string more than 12 laps together in the new McHonda so even with a de-tuned there is little chance of reaching the finish.
The weather looks set to be dry but significantly cooler than yesterday so wear rates may not be the same as the drivers saw today and while the strategy from the drivers in the top 10 will be soft, soft, medium there is a chance that someone outside the top 10 running a medium, soft one stop race. Nasr, Kyvat or Verstappen perhaps?
Hamilton is as short as 1/3 to win tomorrow which is untouchable given the poor record of pole sitter in Melbourne. If he does hit problems Rosberg will be in the right car to take advantage and 3/1 is a reasonable price for that to happen, but if all goes well for Hamilton then it is hard to see Rosberg doing more than 2nd place. Historically there is always the risk of a safety car (nearly a 50% chance here) and that can mix things up but surely Mercedes just have too much speed to lose this race. They could start from the pit lane and win.
The battle to be best of the rest looks to be between Williams and Ferrari. Red Bull is struggling too much to be seriously considered. Bottas may not show up or be handicapped by his back problems and is hard to fancy for that reason. Massa may just have the edge thanks to Mercedes power but will that be enough to keep to keep two world champions behind him? He was less than perfect at times in qualifying and looks vulnerable. I think that Raikkonen is the quickest of the bunch and his long run times were better than Vettel’s on Friday. Raikkonen is 6/4 to beat Vettel but perhaps a better bet is to back him to win Paddy Power Group 1 were he is up against Vettel, Bottas and Ricciardo. With Ricciardo too slow and Bottas injured this looks more like a match bet between Raikkonen and Vettel and the odds are good.
2 points Raikkonen to win Group 1 @ 5/2 with Paddy Power (12/5 Hills)
With McLaren looking be both slow and unreliable they are the 9/2 favourite to be the first team to suffer a retirement. This is tempting but this track often throws up first lap crashes/retirements (6 in the last 10 races here) and those can affect anyone equally so this looks to be a bit of a lucky dip. However it is worth backing Hamilton and Bottas separately to be the first retirement and hope that we get a clean start and that the hopeless Honda has to be retired early.
0.5 point Button to be the first driver to retire @ 12/1 with Betvictor
0.5 point Magnussen to be the first driver to retire @ 10/1 with Betvictor
Red Bull is on a downward spiral and this weekend could turn out to be a bad one. Both cars stopped in FP3, Ricciardo is already on to his second Renault power unit, even before the first race of the season, which highlights what a mess they are in. Ricciardo completed just 19 laps in the three free practice sessions and he looks like a driver worth opposing.
Lotus is a team on the up even if they have still got work to do before realising the cars potential. Both cars in the top 10 and Grosjean for example ran 54 laps in practice. Their pace is slightly off Ricciardo’s but not by much and with a reliable Mercedes power unit I can see Grosjean finishing and finishing in the points. Ricciardo on the other hand will be praying that his Renault power unit holds up for the whole race. Renault could choose to de-tune the power unit to help reliability by that would give Grosjean a better chance on pace alone. Sadly only one book (BWIN) has priced it up as a match bet and they are not known for taking a bet, so sadly no bet on the account.

See Bernie avaldus on ju puhas BS.

Mida neil hüpata on?
