Pigem on öök selles, et Mass Effect 3 turustatakse pesuehtsa Third Person Shooterina. Jah, me oleme näinud vähe sisukamat upgrade treed ja normaalset relvade modifitseerimist aga see kõik muutub sisutuks kui seal mängus peaks olema mingisugune hulk on-rails segmente nagu E3'l näidati. BioWare on muutumas nimeks mille EA tahab visata igale karbile, et müüki tõsta (C&C Generals 2).
Mass Effect 3 võib viimane puhas BioWare mäng olla aga selline Dragon Age 2 laadne marketing langetab igasuguseid ootuseid.

Bioware’s Chris Priestly has posted on the Bioware forums with confirmation that all copies of Mass Effect will have to be activated using EA’s digital download service, Origin. Priestly also says that while Mass Effect 3 “will be available on Origin and a number of other 3rd party digital retailers,” it won’t be coming to Steam.
The reason is a familiar one. “Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to deliver patches and other downloadable content,” Priestly says. Mass Effect 3 will need to connect to Origin for one-time activation, and there won’t be a limit to the number of installs, but every edition of Mass Effect will need Origin to activate, including retail editions and collector’s editions.

Jeps, nii esimene kui teine osa originaalid ja toetaks igati legaalset versiooni, aga Origini sarnase käki pähemäärimine paneb küll "alternatiivsetele versioonidele" mõtlema. Miks mul on seda bloati mängimiseks vaja?

Ma ei tea miks see rahvas niiväga Origin-i vastane on. Samas Steam-i kiidetakse taevani.
Võtsin hiljuti üle pika aja ME2 jälle ette. Sain teada, et EA lubab regada karbiversiooni oma kodukal, mis tagab selle, et läbi Origin-i sa saad selle suvalisel ajahetkel alla laadida. Väga mugav. Omal ajal kui ME2 mängisin mõtlesin, et miks krd pärast ma seda DVD-d pean koguaeg sisse toppima. Täielik tagasiminek ME1-ga võrreldes, kus lihtsalt ühekordselt mäng online-s tuli aktiveerida ja DVD võisid seejärel karpi unustada.
