Info PS2 oleva WE7 kohta. Internetis on full patchid nii et:)
News on Winning Eleven 7 is now flooding in thick and fast after a feature in Famitsu magazine this week (WE:24th May 2003). Below is the list of expected features for WE7:
CD-ROM format will be used - a plus for all you patchers.
Zico (JPN national manager) is promoting the game and will be on the cover.
Multi-Tap and Broadband Adapter compatible. NOT FULLY ONLINE PLAYABLE(PS2-l, arvutile tuleb online ka), this is just to download extra content such as updates teams.
New 'dramatic' TV camera-mode in replays.
New score and player name/mentality display. The score box looks more like on on real TV.
Improved AI, that can "evolve". The AI probably realises your strengths and stops them, or something.
Referees will sometimes let fouls go, and play the advantage instead.
New functions in edit mode, including many more kit designs.
Faces can be edited with detail.
National and club kits can be edited.
Real names for Korean team.
Unlock bonuses in the "WE Shop" by winning tournaments and getting points.
Points can be collected by winning an exibition game or a good result in challenge training.
Players can be stretchered off, wear bandages for injuries, and drink water to replenish their energy.
Player hair moves in-game
20 stadia, with new elements involving spectators - if you lose in ML mode less fans will come to the games!
New features to the "attack/defense" arrows part of the formation setup.
Differing styles of play depending on home and away team.
New Master League format, the "WEFA Champions' League": 64 club teams, divided into 4 leagues. See the expected list of club teams by clicking "Teams".
Player search function included.
Master League: 16 teams will participate in a tournament which will have Home/Away games (final will be decide by 1 game only.)
Space for 10 teams made from scratch.
There will be about 70+ international teams.
New dribbling system and obviously more gameplay enhancements.
Full licenses for Milan, Roma, Lazio and Parma.

Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (PS2, PC)
The world's most popular sport is once again coming home to PlayStation 2. One of many soccer games at the show, PES3 had only minutes to convince players that it is indeed a game like no other. But even after watching the game in action for a few seconds, it quickly becomes clear that years of football game development expertise and an unbelievable amount of depth and detail set Pro Evo apart from the rest.
Running on PS2, the KCE TYO-developed soccer sim features an overhauled graphics engine with more than 20 detailed stadiums and some of the best and most realistic player animations ever seen in a soccer game. And since the game is based on the recently released Japanese Winning Eleven 7, the gameplay is top notch. Konami has been busy, adding a new rewards system that lets players trade points for new teams, stadiums, and textures for the player editor, better ball control during offensive plays, a training mode that actually affects the player stats, better AI, once again improved ball physics, a much larger number of animations, player bruising (players sport bandages on the injured body parts), and use of the advantage rule for fouls. Instead of interrupting the play flow for every little foul, referees now let the game continue if the fouled team doesn't lose the ball. Overall, it's hard to see how any other soccer game in the next few years can come close to what Konami has achieved through years of tweaking and upgrading.
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is set for a European debut on PlayStation 2 and PC this November.

--------------------
jalkasid tuleb raalile
August 23, 2003 - Despite an impressive pedigree of big-name titles, it was sports titles that provided the biggest draw at this year's Games Convention in Leipzig. In one corner, players lined up for Tony Hawk Underground, on the other side of the wall, dozens of eager gamers crowded around a set of displays at the Konami booth, ready for some playtime with Pro Evolution Soccer 3.
By far the most popular sports game at the show, PES3 didn't fail to impress. Taking a cue from EA's FIFA series (which was always ahead in presentation, but lagged behind in gameplay), Konami has also worked on the title's presentation and has added a new rewards system that awards players points, which they can then in turn use in a PES shop to buy new teams and players, stadiums, and new textures and hair cuts for the built-in player editor.
Other improvements include better ball control during offensive plays, a training mode that actually affects the players, better AI, once again improved ball physics, a much larger number of animations, player bruising (players sport bandages on the injured body parts), and use of the advantage rule for fouls. Instead of interrupting the play flow for every little foul, referees now let the game continue if the fouled team doesn't lose the ball. Overall, it's hard to see how any other soccer game in the next few years can come close to what KCE TYO has achieved through years of tweaking and upgrading.
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is set for a European debut on PlayStation 2 and PC this November.
But Pro Evo certainly wasn't the only game in town. Posters at the Codemasters booth proclaimed: "Better than sex. Club Football", promoting the UK company's latest expansion into European sports. If you've ever been to a football match in Europe, you'll know that soccer fans are heavily into buying merchandising for their favorite teams. Whether its scarves, hats, jerseys, shoes, bags, or fan booklets, it's all about one team's struggle against the rest of the field. With that in mind, Codemasters is cleverly releasing multiple versions of its Club Football soccer sim in Europe. Three versions were shown at GC: FC Bayern Mόnchen Club Football, Borussia Dortmund Club Football, and Hamburger SV Club Football. Other versions for non-German teams like Real Madrid and Manchester United will also be available -- all wrapped in boxes with the respective team colors and logos. The idea is let players take control of their favorite team and players and play against Europe's top clubs. Each version promises the same great attention to detail, authentic tricots, team chants, and tons of unlockable videos and photo galleries that chronicle the team's greatest moments.
Club Football is slated for an October release in Europe on PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
Codemasters is also in the works with its latest German version of its long-running soccer management sim, BDFL Manager 2004 (known as LMA Manager 2004 in the UK). Featuring the latest stats for the 2003/2004 seasons from all the top leagues in Europe and South America and more than 19,000 licensed players, Manager lets players manage every facet of their club of choice, purchase players, oversee transfers, sponsors, construction of new stadiums, and watch the games unfold with overhauled 3D presentation. The game will be available in January 2004 for PS2 and Xbox.
To satisfy hungry Fussball fans, Sony's booth featured a copious amount of demo kiosks with This is Football 2004. TIF features brand-new motion capturing, improved AI, more detailed players, new stadiums, and a completely redone player transfer system. The game features 22 leagues, 900 clubs, and almost 18,000 licensed players (versus last year's 13,500). Like PES3, TIF can be played by up to eight players via multitap. The game will ship in Q4 in Europe.
US games giant EA was making big noise about the latest installment in its FIFA series at its booth. With finely tuned and visually flawless big-screen demos, visitors to the EA booth were bombarded with images from the company's impressive lineup, accompanied by a coordinated light show that synched up perfectly with the goings-on on the screens. Most familiar to gamers here in the States, FIFA once again takes full advantage of its license by offering virtually flawless TV-style presentation. EA is touting its new "off the ball" control system that (finally) enables in-game team control, but the developers also promise a much more fleshed out new soccer offering, with more modes, better ball behavior and physics, and, for the first time, online play on PlayStation 2.
Tucked away and often overlooked, Acclaim displayed a soccer offering of its own at its booth. Developed by Silicon Dreams, Urban Freestyle Soccer takes the NBA Street approach to the sport, featuring 4-on-4 tournaments without meddling referees or complex rulebooks. Players pick from 40 players -- or rather, thugs from 10 different street gangs -- and compete in eight different game modes, including a smattering of mini-games. Though the lack of official star power destines the game to only appeal to a niche audience in Europe, the dynamic combo system, edgy character designs, and F20 and Fevernova licensing may just make more people take notice as we approach the game's October deadline.
Urban Freestyle Soccer will appear on PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, and PC.

eurogamer.net:After implying yesterday that Pro Evo 3 on the PC was less than a dead cert and telling us to watch out for their ECTS press announcement, we finally got hold of the disc this morning and discovered all the supposedly unconfirmed details waiting for us in black and white. We can certainly see how this press release became the various news items weve read, so were guessing it also made an appearance at Games Connection in Leipzig.
Obviously there were no shots (or youd be looking at them right now) and the game was decidedly absent from the Konami stand here at ECTS (which was very nice regardless - we like air conditioning and freshly squeezed orange juice), but the release is more specific than we expected - it does say November, it does say its underway at KCET right now, and it does say that we can expect to see everything from the PS2 version - including the new Shop and four-division Master League - and then some.

gamershellist:
Konami of Europe today announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 3, the latest in its football series, is to be released for PC in November 2003. The PC game will boast all the gameplay advances seen in the accompanying PlayStation 2 release, but will enjoy a greater level of aesthetic detail. "With a multi-player mode, referees playing the advantage in foul situations, the option to control one player as opposed to switching between them, and new modes to select referees and switch fatigue on and off, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is certain to set new standards for a PC football game."
Konami of Europe has announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 3, the latest in its incredibly successful football series, is to be released for PC in November 2003.
With the Pro Evolution Soccer series rightly regarded as the pinnacle of console football titles, Konami's is bringing its skills to PC, to ensure that Pro Evolution Soccer 3 becomes the definitive football experience for the format. The PC game will boast all the gameplay advances seen in the accompanying PlayStation 2 release, but will enjoy a greater level of aesthetic detail.
The news of the PC version is certain to delight football fans who have long called for a PC version of the classic series and Pro Evolution Soccer 3 represents the pinnacle of the franchise, with every aspect tweaked to perfection. The PC game will enjoy new player models, while all the on and off the ball moves that have made the PlayStation 2 game so popular will be faithfully recreated, while a four-division Master League allows users to build a team of superstars and lead them to league glory.Pro Evolution Soccer 3 also benefits from a wealth of new ideas that will blow the PC football market wide open. The game includes a huge array of cup tournaments, friendly matches and the aforementioned four-division Master League. An extensive training mode also allows users to fine-tune players within a series of skill-orientated challenges, from free kicks, to close control and passing. The game also includes a 'Shop' system, with players accumulating points via the training and exhibition modes which, in turn, can be traded for new stadiums, crowd effects, teams, players, strategies and hair styles, rewarding the player for prolonged play.
In keeping with KCE TYO's quest for realism, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 benefits from players that not only look identical to their real-life counterparts, but move like them, too. Similarly, the players have superb AI with forwards making intelligent runs and dragging defenders to make space, while the game's amazing ball physics allows them to pull off moves specific to particular situations. As such, long-range drives are now more controllable while players can flick the ball over a defender with their heel and perform deft turns to bypass defenders. This level of detail is further expanded with novel additional ideas. Players have facial expressions which change depending on how the game is going and injuries are more visible with the addition of head bandages and strapped limbs. The crowd also plays a part in the proceedings; with the popularity of teams reflected in how full the stadium is, while they will also be dressed differently according to the weather.
With a multi-player mode, referees playing the advantage in foul situations, the option to control one player as opposed to switching between them, and new modes to select referees and switch fatigue on and off, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is certain to set new standards for a PC football game. Every element of the game is far beyond anything seen on the format and results in a game where every flick and trick of the real thing can be intuitively performed.
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 will be released for PC in November, 2003.

WE7 review
Sweet mercy! Although the crooked-nosed duo of Townsend and Atkinson might not be long for our TV screens on a Saturday night, as I settled down at 10:30 for my customary weekly glimpse of Premiership football, it might as well have been Kirsty Gallagher and Helen Chamberlain swapping tragic clichés with Des "Mario" Lynam, I was so pleased to see them again. That's right. Wives, girlfriends, misguided children: it's time to pop outside, because the footy season's back! And, what's this? Why, it's Konami's twice-annual Winning Eleven update - the perfect accompaniment to any football event, and the technological precursor to Pro Evolution Soccer 3, which is due out in Europe towards the end of the year.
Liverpool one, Southern Softies nil
For anyone who hasn't caught other intermittent updates on our long-standing love affair with KCET's footballing opus, Konami has this habit of releasing new versions of the Winning Eleven series in Japan, then tweaking and expanding them for six months and releasing them in Europe under the Pro Evolution banner. Last time, they even produced a couple of tweaked derivatives for the Japanese market - a J-League branded edition of WE6 and subsequent to Pro Evo 2's debut, WE6: Final Evolution, which appeared on the GameCube alongside the usual PS2 edition. Unfortunately, that won't be happening with WE7 - there is no planned Cube version according to Konami representatives, not even in Japan - but the magnitude of changes to this year's formula is sure to have malnourished Cube owners contemplating Darth Vader's Toaster ever more seriously.
The thing that's most striking about Winning Eleven 7, beyond the routine menu paintjob, is the change to the way the ball moves. Whereas FIFA persists with its Teflon-coated pitches derived from NHL's ice rink tech, WE7 replicates the harsh reality of a normal playing surface, with bobbles, awkward bounces and irregular ball movement in many areas of the pitch. Of course playing surfaces vary, but as a result of the changes, running and passing quickly is not nearly as automatic as it was. Possession has become the key to success, and it's now more or less impossible to simply tear forward from a kick-off and regroup at the corner flag. Short of Michael Owen's post-jarring effort against the Romanians in '98, that simply never happens, and WE7 reflects that. What's more, the ball can even bobble just as you're about to sock it goalbound, leading to some embarrassing misses.
Speaking of which, it's perhaps regrettable that the age-old problem of the ball running out for throw-ins and corners, when players really look capable of controlling it, still persists - perhaps accentuated by the new playing conditions, but having seen Gilberto do it in rather hilarious fashion on Saturday we're prepared to let it slide. It doesn't affect the game too much - and in any event, throw-ins are a much more organic system this time. Instead of directing the ball to one out of one and a half options, WE7 gives you control of the receiving player and lets you run him into position to receive it. A big improvement.
Ball boys
Indeed, control of the ball and what you can do with it has been expanded considerably. Players react a little quicker to tweaks and will dive in at a split-second's notice to scoop the ball away from a lunging defender if instructed. The bouncing ball also plays a much larger role in WE7, with players more adept at trapping it and even flicking it over their shoulder, and volleys - at last - properly implemented. A couple of spectacular efforts even showed us how deflections have improved (on one occasion, a volley glanced off a Scottish defender's shoulder and wrong-footed the keeper on its way into the net) and how defenders react to loose balls by hoofing them clear, instead of performing a diving header, as often happened much to our disgust in previous editions.
With attacking as a unit now more crucial than ever, tweaks to the through ball system are also welcome, and it's now easier to curve the ball round a defender or lay it off successfully, although it's still quite possible to send the ball to completely the wrong player when another attacker seems wide open. Fortunately this time it's more likely that an attacker will be able to do something creative if he's on his wrong side - instead of just being good with one foot and rubbish with the other, right or left-sided players will attempt to play even necessarily wrong-footed shots with the preferred foot.
While the shape of the attacking game has changed significantly though, it seems fair to say that the defensive side - at least after the 15 or 20 hours we've dedicated so far - seems quite unrepentant for its sins. Holding a run modifier (R1 or R2) and holding X and square to send the controlled and nearest other defender respectively in chase of the ball is still the most effective way of pressuring players in possession, and holding square for an automated shadow whilst prowling round manually with your controlled player still yields a lot of good results. However closing down set-pieces is still difficult. More movement is permitted on corners, but what we'd like to see is a way of sending a player dashing from the wall on free kicks, or edging forward to test the referee's patience. The punishment for overstepping the mark could be a yellow card - and with referees now fully capable of sending more than three blokes off per side, it's bound to be a good incentive to stop. Speaking of refs, they've finally picked up on handballs and the advantage rule.
Football Italia
Oh and speaking of free kicks and set-pieces, WE7 continues to reward moments of genius, but doesn't just offer them on a plate. Free kicks have actually become more difficult, if you can believe that, and as someone who's invested tens of hours on this very aspect of the game, even I can't hit the target at speed ten times out of ten. The pace of the ball has been lowered slightly for WE7, so it's harder to get a well-directed ball to make a significant impact. It is possible to show off your signature skills a bit more in the centre of the field though, with a new 360-degree spin (you know, the one where Zidane stops the ball with his foot, rolls round the defender and pulls it past with his other foot) mapped to a 360 rotation of the right analogue stick, and there are bound to be other trick moves we haven't discovered yet.
Indeed, it's fair to say there's a lot of the game we haven't really touched on yet - largely thanks to the language barrier. We're told that there are options to control one player for the whole match (ala Namco's PSone title Libero Grande), to influence referee and crowd bias more specifically, to manually control the goalkeeper instead of just having him rush out by holding the triangle button, and to pull up a save-able action replay at any time. We've also yet to get to grips with the WE Shop, at which you'll be able to spend the "WEN" points you earn for every match you play (good news for people like me who pick up WE for a few exhibition matches every day of the year), or the revised Master League, which has been expanded to four geographically distinct divisions to make way for the 64 club teams on offer, including four fully licensed Italian clubs (a sign of things to come according to Konami).
On the whole and no doubt as you can tell, the sheer number of fine details worth acknowledging has well and truly swamped us. WE7 is a very complex beast, and one we won't claim to have covered comprehensively. However, it must be clear to any fan of the series - or football fan in general - that this now much heavier duty simulation is the most accurate recreation of the beautiful game to date. KCET has ironed out problems like players being knocked over all the time, the midfield pinball effect that plagued Pro Evo 2, the lack of fantasy club-versus-country options, and they've made it easier to get past the presentation hullabaloo and straight back to the action, whilst still maintaining the high standards of production that perhaps we expect from sports titles - the only thing we're not 100 per cent onside with yet is the TV interference effect on some of the action replays, but we're bound to warm to it eventually. Otherwise, the now proprietary engine (with RenderWare gone from the equation) has given KCET more license to play with intricate animation, and players are clearly who they are meant to be.
Feet of magnificence
Concerns that we have, and perhaps these are our only real concerns, are that the Japanese version of the game has an awkward stuttering problem on some older PS2s (and, we're told, particularly in widescreen), but Konami has acknowledged the problem and on pain of death promises it will be fixed in Pro Evo 3. And we're also disappointed that the summer's big transfers are not reflected here, with Beckham still a Man United player, and Chelsea's millions still unallocated. However there is a transfer engine and, given the "problems" as they are, it must be clear to everyone reading this that with a bit of tweaking under its belt, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is set to replace breathing on our list of priorities by the end of this year. GOOOOAAALLL!!!

PES3 schon am 17.10!? Auch für den Cube!?
Laut Angaben des World of Games Internetshops wird die PS2- bzw. PC-Version von Pro Evolution Soccer 3 bereits am 17. Oktober in unseren Gefilden seinen Release feiern dürfen!

"It's a load of crap" opines, and none too delicately, our contact at Konami
12:55 With news trickling out of X03 in less than barnstorming fashion, (no Perfect Dark? One pesky Halo 2 shot? Huh?) a couple of websites have been leading with the news, apparently originating in France, that Pro Evolution 3 is coming to the Xbox! Awesome, assuming it's true of course. And, uh, it's not.
We spoke to Microsoft about the story. It didn't know what we were talking about. So then we spoke to Konami, and Konami was surprised too.
"If we had an announcement, you guys would be the first to know" a Konami spokesperson told us - hey, we know the company says that to all the girls, but we like a bit of flattery - before adding that: "Obviously nothing's set in stone, but there's no way this is happening in the foreseeable future."
Ho hum. We're genuinely gutted not to see the mighty Pro Evo on Xbox, but at least, in time honoured Columbo fashion, we've got to the bottom of the story with our "just one more question" approach. Pro Evo 3 will be hitting the PS2 and PC this November.

Reso saad suurendada jne.
