Aga kas tõesti oleks vaja asja kohustuslikult peale sundida? Enda asi kui näiteks ameeriklane tahab euroopa servus mängida ja suudab leppida lagiga.
Probleem selles, et enamus suured gildid tehti juba ette ära ja eurooplaste, ameeriklaste kompottina.

Ma suht palju closed betast juba kuulnud teiste käest uudiseid ja kindlasti asju väga palju vaja korda saada. Ringi hõljumine eemaldada, klassid on veel mingil määral poolikud, questid pole kõige paremas seisus...jne. Igatahes tuleb loota, et nad selle lisa 2 kuuga suudavad rohkemat korda saata.
Endale annab see aega raha koguda, et arvuti kiiremaks pigistada mai kuuks Tahaks ikka täiel rinnal nautida miljööd, mida mäng lubab pakkuda.

Ega see edasi lükkamine ausalt öeldes imestama ei pane, kuna nii palju kui beta kohta kuulnud olen, pidi see hetkel pigem alpha moodi välja nägema. Suur osa asju pole üldse sees (nt Boarder Kingdom, Guild Cities, Female characters jne jne). PvP pidi olema "mitte soovitatav" kuna class balance pidi olema paigast ära. Samas Gaute Godager (Game Director) väidab, et neil on "big things under control" (LINK).
Eks näeb, mis saab. Ise ootan himuga edasi.

Combat:
The combat is better then other mmo's, but it's not "Easy to learn, hard to master" as you said before, it's just clicking on an icon then the game shows you how to do the combo, easy to learn, easy to master, but it's still very refreshing and fun, but i would like it more quick paced, now i just press 2 buttons and i do my combo, but i hit the enemy like 3-4 times, why not make me press the buttons on these attacks aswell?, it would make it quick paced and probaly more skill based.
Mounted combat - it's very easy to kill alot of mobs at the same time, at same level as you with the mount, you just aggro every mob in the area and run around em and hit all the time, you get alot of AoE dmg(But probaly only soldiers that can do this, and the bandage bug)
The mounts turns very nice and realistic, but their acceleration needs some work, they should start running show, and just run faster and faster with time, and turning slows the speed down, same when you rushing with mount, make it feel more realstic, it need to take a few seconds to come up at that speed.
World:
You need to add more zones, or it will be boring and repetive to make a new charecter, as i've played in all zones and done most quests. Even so the zones looks realy great(Favorite is Eiglo mountains)But i don't like the teleport between the zones, it would be realy cool when you taking the boat to Khemi(just an example) and pirates attacks you on the trip, and you gotta fight em(ofc not every time you take the boat, but a small change of happening.)
Quests:
Not much to say here, mostly the same as other mmo's, but i would like to see more quests that you get when exploring, like the letter in khemi, or the orb in the cannibal cave in eiglo mountains - it's realy fun when you go and explore and get quests like that. But you gotta get rid of the "kill 15 wolfs" quests in field of the dead, it's like 4 of em? That's just plain boring.
Game Client & Performance
High Settings except:
Shadow Complexity: Off
Anisitropic: 1x
AA: Off
The client runs ok on my system. Load times are reasonable, probably due to the 10k rpm hard drive. FPS is usually good. I do get hitching fairly often when traveling across terrain fairly quickly. I'm going to assume this is due to loading new mega-textures for mountains in the distance and so forth. Perhaps if I had more video RAM this would be less of an issue.
I have a feeling there is too much trust in the client in the client-server model. For instance, there were 2 feat bugs I had run into. One bug would allow one to raise physical reistances above 100%. If one exceeded 100% then physical attacks would actually heal the player. So the server has /had no check there. Another would allow one to cast Focused Channel (next spell is instant cast) without it causing a cooldown. The correct cooldown was 180/120/60 seconds depending on how many points in the feat. Again, I think the server is trusting the client.
The problem here is that without proper server side checks, the door is left open for client-side hackers.
Graphics
I really enjoy the graphics and the map design in this game. Exploring AoC has been a joy.
Cimmeria is beautiful, yet harsh and brutal.
Wild Lands and Khopshef have that open plains feel.
Tarantia & Noble need some work, and they also feel like ghost towns due to the low NPC population vs. city size.
The Maze, Sanctum of Burning Souls, both very very cool.
I wish we had the HQ textures in beta, but oh well.
Sound
The sound effects are ok. I think they're pretty appropriate for an MMO. You don't want them overdone, because of the longevity of play, and potentially getting sick of them quickly, etc.
The zone music is pretty good for the most part. I really like the music layout for the Cimmerian zones. Haunting, dark, brooding.
It seems to be missing in some other areas.
The combat music can go for the most part. It gets annoying after a while. Perhaps have it only trigged when engaging Bosses.
The lightning sound at Thoth-Amon's Stronghold scared the crap out of me the first time I walked up to it. Awesome.
Itemization & Inventory
I like that there is little focus on inventory. Just a small personal inventory, quest items and resources.
Loot management was obnoxious in WoW. Too much of it, too much reliance on gear, alternate sets of gear, etc.
It seems as though partial or full inventory (not equipped) item-drop could be reasonable, but potion vendors would need to stock all potions, especially at hub cities. I noticed that you've implemented Not Tradable (Bind on Pickup) items. I picked one up off a boss in SoBS. I don't like BoP. I'd rather be able to do hand-me-downs through the guild. I don't suppose there's much to say about Itemization since it seems most of it isn't done.
There might be a bug/behavior where if your inventory is full, and you try to buy a stackable item, it gives you a full inventory error instead of letting you buy it onto the stack, like when buying potions, drinks. I haven't had time to double check that.
Controls & Combat
I edited my hotkeys.xml before I even completed the first quest. No game ever had a default control scheme I like.
Melee combat was lacking as a Stormcaller since combos are not implemeted for the class. I found myself simply swinging at enemies weakest defense to do the most damage.
It seems like the weapon arc is more efficiently used by backpedaling and swinging instead of standing still and tanking. It seems to hit more targets. Of course, funneling enemies into a corridor is even better.
There are issues with the Defense indicators on small creatures or giant creatures. Both with how they display, and actually being able to see them while tanking.
Spellcasting is ok, but not great. I wish I could cast instant cast spells while moving instead of having to stop. It was nice in WoW, and I was glad when they finally did it in Shadowbane. Jumping back is a little awkward, but it lets me get away to cast a 0-1 second cast spell easier. The invisible action/casting queue is nice. Something I liked from Lineage2.
I don't feel like I can give a complete assessment since I had no combos, and only half the spell & feat lists working.
Character Customization
The face & body customization is nice. A lot like Oblivion. A nice touch. I am extremely disappointed that there is zero control over ability point assignment. I am one of those people who likes to do character design & template, min/max, etc. It's something I spent a considerable amount of time on in Shadowbane. I understand why it's like this. You don't want people gimping their characters and not wanting to reroll. That's fair, with the way you've set your leveling curve, bhat doesn't mean there couldn't be a respec feature. So we're left with a character being defined by their skills & feats.
Questing & Leveling
1-20 was a joy. The destiny quest is quite unique compared to other MMOs. Making it primarily single player / tutorial should help you on launch day with the initial rush. The voice acted quest dialog for the destiny questline is fantastic. Old Sharak is awesome. The higher level destiny quests were kind of lackluster, just needing to go to a location, kill a boss and take an item.
The minimap quest markers are nice. I don't particularly like searching around aimlessly for quest objectives.
20 and beyond. I feel like I'm playing WoW or L2 again, and that's not a good thing. When it was originally stated on the public boards that the leveling curve would be on par with WoWs, my heart sank.
I am incredibly tired with the same old quests

Kill Boss z
It's borderline hatred at this point.
It seems as though the most efficient way to level would just to have a Tank, Healer and Nuker camp some of the denser spawns.
The travel time for quest, fetch, return is less optimal than simply grinding.
With this group, one can just chain kill and keep hitting their xp cap.
You also seem to have adoped WoW's 3-level rule, as your 5-level rule. Anything higher than 5 levels is practically impossible to kill, the damage gets mitigated for no good reason other than a level based formula. Anything lower than 5 levels is worth nothing. I really hate level formulas and this artifical means of preventing players from killing stronger things. These formulas are what screwed over mismatched level PvP fights in WoW. Despite the fact that the higher level player has superior stats, the level formulas were hurting things further (primarily to-hit forumla).
The chain-kill xp vs. killing higher level mobs is kind of interesting
At X level we seem to have Y exp cap per mob, that can't be exceeded.
Killing an even level mob seems to result in roughly Y/2 exp. Chain killing 5+ raises the exp per kill to the max of Y.
Killing a +5 level mob seems to result in roughly max Y exp.
Interpolate for anything in between.
Solo killing an elite/group mob simple gives max Y exp.
What's also interesting is how a higher level characters can powerlevel lower level characters by killing mobs roughly 10+ from the lower level character.
Yes, I did use feat exploits to gain immunity and play god-mode. I went off and on depending on what quests and areas I was in. I did do as many of the quest chains as I could, and wrote up plenty of bugs doing so. There's no way I could have gotten through the grind & quests otherwise with the way Stormcallers are right now.
I made level 74 in roughly 2 days, 10 hours. With another 6 hours screwing around in SoBS, evaluating things for this post, etc. So I have 2 days 16 hours total.
Summary:
After posting in various threads on a variety of subjects, I felt that it was time to consolidate my thoughts and feelings in a single thread with the hopes that my constructive ideas and viewpoints will be considered and thought through by those individuals who are seeking to make AoC the best game it can be.
Please keep in mind the following things before I formally begin my comments. Firstly, I really enjoy playing AoC. It's a welcome change from the standard MMO, and while there are a lot of things I would like to see changed or altered, there are as many things that are right with the game. I wouldn't have taken my conqueror to level 30 if I thought this game was a no-go.
Secondly, when I seem critical or harsh in my comments, it should not be taken to mean that I'm so thoroughly disappointed with my expectations for this game, that I've simply come here to vent. Please do not mistake my honesty for anger.
Although I normally don't like to make people read long posts, I want to start off by putting into words a lot of the feelings that I have been seeing expressed on these forums. First and foremost, being a Beta tester is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you are given the opportunity to help refine a game and hopefully release it to a receptive public. However on the other hand, you are only playing part of the finished product which makes it hard to give meaningful feedback at times both because all your concerns might be alleviated with time and partly because there's always someone ready to hit you over the head with the comment "it's just Beta". The main problem is of course, that beta testers aren't supposed to be "playing" but "testing" and not making judgments before the entire game has been completed.
If we were a year, or even six months to the release of AoC, the "It's just a Beta" comment would carry a lot more weight. But as far as we know, we are just shy of three months until release, and the closer we get to that release date, the more the game we are currently testing will resemble the product people will buy on the shelves. I think that many beta testers sometimes labor under the delusion that there is a miracle build out there that will solve most problems and introduce the majority of the game's missing content, nearly stable and with few major bugs. Unfortunately, I've never seen this come to pass from any game.
So where does that leave us as beta testers at this point in time? Well I think it's fair to say that while we may not be qualified to criticize missing content that might in fact be on the horizon, there are certain major areas of the game that will most likely not change, but should probably be altered for the sake of the game's success. Now, I don't believe in criticizing something without providing a meaningful alternative, so following my criticism, I've tried to incorporate an alternative that I believe is feasible. So lets get to it:
Problem: Many testers feel cramped by the game world. The zones are relatively large in most areas, but you don't have to look very far to see that you are nestled between unscalable mountains, from which there is one way in and out of the zone.
Solution: Make all the zones connected with multiple ways in and out. Hyboria is a huge place. Make us feel like it's huge with plenty of places to go. It shouldn't be too difficult to add multiple ways in and out of the zones.
Problem: There are instances everywhere, more so than I think was initially expected given the current level of technology available.
Solution: If you must keep the instances, make them as few as possible. Over the long term, maybe even phase them out altogether. I've rarely encountered an MMO where instances are used together with zones in such frequency. If you are going to use one, please try not to use the other.
Problem: It's too easy to travel in AoC. With a few clicks, a player can instantly travel from Aquilonia to Stygia. More than anything else, this ruins the immersion factor. Most people can deal with zones, but to instantly traverse hundreds or thousands of miles is really far fetched and makes the world seem really small.
Solution: If you're set on using the people in the various harbors to transport people from one place to another, then what about something like the FFXI approach? Make people take 10-15 minutes to travel from one place to another by boat, and let them interact with other players on the boat. Maybe do some fishing, fend off pirate attacks, or what have you. Even something like WoW's air transports would be better than just the instant travel.
These are my main issues so far. They mainly revolve around the zoning, instances, and travel. I think these are issues that a lot of people will share, as well as the general public if things don't change. Being someone who really wants AoC to succeed, I really hope these issues are addressed soon. If nothing else, I really wish we could get an official developer statement about these issues, as they are currently topping the chart of top concerns amongst testers.
Closing Thoughts
Khemi will be the new Khar Th'sekt. It's nice and dense, people will be drawn to the practicality when they need to bank/hub/etc. Shadowbane players know what I'm talking about.
The carrot for me in this game is the promise of a good sieging system. It is the only reason I would even consider leveling through this game. However, I've seen nothing of it yet. Beyond the eventual exhaustion of exploration, End Game PvP is what keeps me playing. Scripted AI does not keep me interested, or give me a challenge worth thinking about. There is no better opponent than another human being.
Lineage2 promised a sieging system, which wasn't implemented until after release. I dropped out of that game midway through the leveling curve. Eventually the siege system arrived. I didn't go back and pick it up.
I honestly don't think I can make it through the level grind of this game at release. Realistically looking at 200 hours played just to hit the level cap and be able to compete at the end game pvp objectives... just slogging through the same old recycled quest systems. I don't know if it'll be worth the trip there. Maybe I'll account share. Maybe I'll team china.
I was hoping this game would be a spiritual successor to Shadowbane, in terms of PvP/Siege, but it definitely is not from 1-80. It remains to be seen if a political landscape will be formed around the sieging and pvp systems |

Heh.. ma lootsin, et sa siin hästi informeeritud idee algataja. Pole mingi pool kuud uurinud seda EU CE asja, viimati kui vaatasin, siis oli kõik veel väga kahtlane ja lahtine. Asi nimelt selles, et mounti saab vaid teatud poodidest tellides jne. Teine probleem on veel selles, et arvatavasti on Pre-Ordered CE plaat 32 bit edition, mitte 64, nii et kui plaanis 64bit süsteem kokku panna, siis on natuke jama.

Hind päris kopsakas - 70 euri.
Päris kindel veel ei ole, see EU pre order asi on siia maani väga kahtlane teema, peab veel natuke maad uurima.

olen kõvasti uurinud seda mängu ja on tunne, et tuleb wow'ist, guild warsist jm mängudest kõvasti parem. Mõlemast viimasest mängust juba kopp ees, niiet kui keegi näeb mingit odavamat hinda AOC kuskil, siis andke julgelt siia foorumisse teada. 70 euri nagu nats kallis

Sa ei pea ju tingimata CE ostma, tavaline pre-order on jupi maad odavam.
@Timberg, sa ei tea kui laisk ma olen . Aga eks ma official foorumis uurin natuke.

See mammutipoiss pidi ainult preorderiga ju kaasa tulema? CE pidi vist mingi suur laegas olema päris nahast karbiga ja värki...Midagi uhket oli igatahes.
Ise ette tellima ei viitsi hakata, hetkel rahaga targemat peale hakata. Pealegi poleks suur üllatus kui nad uuesti edasi lükkaks selle aasta Q4 paiku reliisi või isegi kaugemale. Samas praeguses seisus mängu kah kaine peaga mängija vast mängida ei tahaks (vaata aga vaata mäng sõna tüve sai 3x kasutatud).
-e- Keegi veel RP-PvP's plaanib mängima hakata (euroopa omas muidugi)?

Ei tea, ma kahe vahel, kas PvP või RP-PvP. PvP servus on kindlasti rohkem lapsi ja "1337 omg wtf pwner"-eid, kes närvidele käivad, kuid samas on alati võimalus neid maha lüüa (FFA ikkagi ju ). RP-PvP tundub selle külje pealt ahvatlev, et seal ehk rohkem täiskasvanumad mängijad. Kuid RP serveri miinusteks on minu jaoks see, et global chatis pead "in character" olema, ehk siis ei tohi rääkida IRL asjadest ning kindlasti hakkavad häirima ka need nn hardcore RP vennad.
Kipun vist ikka PvP serveri poole. Küll leiab seal ka normaalseid vendi, kellega ringi joosta. Nendele, kes pinda käivad saab lihtsalt nuiaga mööda pead virutada .
