Pentagon officials have in recent weeks asked several NATO countries to tone down their rhetoric regarding the threat posed by Russia, arguing that some statements by European leaders and officials have undermined continental security, four people familiar with the matter said.
Among the nations that have received messages urging them to keep public statements in check are Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity. It was not clear if the messages, which were delivered in bilateral meetings, were conveyed to other European governments.
Need "anonüümsed allikad" on ajakirjanduse kõige magusam pirukas, mille all uudisnuppe treida
The unofficial pause, which is expected to last until after the U.S. midterm elections but potentially deeper into November, began early last week at the height of a crisis in U.S.-Ukrainian relations, the people said.
Siis on see "paus" ju läbi juba _________________ "a rental car, three cheeseburgers and a head start."
Poland's ambassador to China resigns, says he 'can no longer serve' at post after Polish police entered Constitutional Tribunal grounds, with court's head suspended

Täna eskaleerus see pikaajaline võimuvõitlus uude haripunkti

Earlier this month, when U.S. military officials asked SpaceX about the outages in Ukraine, the company advised switching to an upgraded contract to restore Ukraine’s access, U.S. officials told us.

This spring, the U.S. military faced a similar dilemma in the Middle East. According to a Reuters report that cited Pentagon documents, U.S. forces used Starshield to pilot their drones for strikes against Iran. When SpaceX found out, it raised the price for Starshield service in that region from roughly $5,000 per terminal per month to $25,000. The Pentagon agreed to pay.

"Let me say this directly to the Russian foreign minister - we all know who the aggressor in this war is. Let's talk about what happened at Dnipro railway yesterday. Only yesterday your drones attacked and killed 15 people.
"And there are countless examples like this of you killing innocent civilians throughout this war. We all know you are the aggressor. We all know you started this war four-and-a-half years ago with the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"And Putin thought then he would win this war easily. But you are not winning this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries round this table, you are not winning.
"If you had the courage to tell the truth and to do what is right you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win."
