Mis seal aadressi võltsimises uut on? Selliseid võltsitud aadresse on ju spämmi küljes olnud kogu aeg ja e-mailinduse algusaegadest peale on saatja aadressi korrektsus olnud saatja enda mure, mida keegi teine ei kontrolli.
Antud juhul on kirja välja saatnud SMTP-ks smtp.netcabo.pt ja kirja allikaks a85-138-184-65.cpe.netcabo.pt
Juhtumisi ütleb kirja saatja enda aadressiks olevat appIeld@ld.appIe.com, aga samahästi võiks see olla god@heaven.gov või betamax@misiganes. See kõik on väga pika habemega lugu, mis on pärit otse tigupostinduse aegadest.

Antud juhul tegemist täiesti reaalselt eksisteeriva aadressiga - vaata, kas näed tähtede erinevust või mitte? Väga filigraanselt tehtud 
E-maili aadress brauseri kaudu vaadatuna.

kui pole kõrval õiget aadressi millega võrrelda siis ajab esimese korraga segadusse küll.
by default tunderbird ei näita saatja aadressi vaid ainult nime. mul on plugin pandud saata aadressi näitama.

Kas pärast kogu meilindusepikkust ajalugu ja sellele eelnenud tigupostinduse ajalugu ei peaks juba selge olema, et saatja-aadressid võivad olla jumala suvalised - kas eksisteerivad või mitte-eksisteerivad? Täpselt nagu paberile kirjutatud tiguposti puhul saatja aadressi õigsust kirja edastaja ei kontrolli, ei kontrolli seda ka SMTP.
Mul on serveri filtris iga päev spämmi, millel on küljes nii eksisteerivad kui mitte-eksisteerivad aadressid, millel tegeliku saatjaga mitte midagi tegemist ei ole. Aastaid on saadetud kirju microsoft.com saatja-aadressiga ja google.com aadressiga, mis ei ole kummastki firmast pärit ega kordagi puudutanud nende servereid, mis püha lehm see Apple peaks olema, et tema aadressi ei saaks kirja külge panna? Sama lugu nende panga paroole küsivate kirjadega - saatja oleks nagu pank, aga ei ole.
