LG G3 to be first smartphone equipped with laser autofocusing system

A myriad of leaks and official discussions from LG over the past several weeks had seemingly given us everything we needed to know about the company’s upcoming G3 smartphone. But now we’ve learned of a new feature that’ll be a first on any handset.
The flagship LG G3 will be the first smartphone to use a laser autofocusing system. It’ll be similar in purpose to the second camera sensor on the back of the HTC One M8 in that it will detect the depth of the subject you are shooting. Its use should minimize how long it’ll take to capture each shot and also result in more accurate and precise focusing.
When combined with the 13-megapixel sensor on the back of the phone as well as built-in optical image stabilization, the G3 has a solid shot at being one of the better cameras to ship in any smartphone.
