Nutitelefonide müük ületab käesoleval aastal tavatelefonide müügi |

Uuringufirma IDC andmetel müüakse käesoleval aastal globaalselt rohkem nutitelefone kui tavatelefone. Nutitelefone tarnitakse kokku 918,6 miljonit, mis on 50,1% müüdud telefonide koguarvust. Peamisteks kasvu põhjusteks peetakse nutitelefonide hindade langust, laia telefonide valikut ja 4G võrkude lansseerimist. Aastaks 2017 ennustab IDC juba 1,5 miljardi nutitelefoni müümist, mis moodustaks 2/3 kogu telefonide müügist.

More smartphones will ship in 2013 than feature phones, marking the first time this has happened over a 12-month period, according to forecasts from IDC.
The company said that vendors will ship 918.6 million smartphones this year, or “50.1 per cent” of total mobile phone shipments worldwide.
IDC noted that smartphone prices have fallen globally, “the smartphone strata are wider than ever”, and the roll-out of 4G networks are three factors which have made smartphones “an increasingly attractive option for users”.
It was forecast that by the end of 2017, 1.5 billion smartphones will be shipped worldwide, which equates to just over two-thirds of the total mobile phone shipments forecast for that year.
IDC said that while to date smartphone shipments were the result of demand in mature economies such as the US, the balance is gradually shifting to emerging markets, “where smartphone user bases are still relatively small and economic prospects are considerably higher”. |

Jah, see oli Eestis ja muudes arenenud lääneriikides. Käesolev uudis räägib globaalsest müügist, kus endiselt (eriti Aasias, L-Ameerikas jne.) valitses/valitseb tavatelefon.

Kas kusagil on välja toodud ka nutitelefonide täpne definitsioon?
Ehk siis piir, et millest alates üheselt loetakse nutitelefoniks, et mis on tema minimaalsed nõutavad funktsioonid, omadused, parameetrid?

See definitsioon on nii ümmargune kui veel olla saab. Selle järgi on ka ainult MP3 mängija olemasolu telefonis juba nutitelefoni nimetuseks kõlbulik!

| Tegelikult oleks siin teemas jutuks oleva uuringu läbiviinud firma kohus olnud oma aruande esimese lõiguna ära defineerida, mida just nemad konkreetses uuringus nutitelefoniks lugesid. Muidu on kogu see uuringutulemus pehmelt öeldes mõttetu.
