Leidsin sobiva sülearvuti Dell Vostro 3550 näol, mida tahaks osta, kuid leidsin netist sellise probleemi sellel: (vaja kasutada ise solidworksi,cad)

Vostro 3550 has a CAPABLE GPU for handling this kind of program (I know that because I owned a laptop with a 2400HD from ATI (a much, much slower GPU) and it was really good, too bad it's too old now, it's sitting on my drawer). I bought this laptop SPECIFICALLY for work and I can't use it. This is a simple drawing, look at how much time it needs to rebuild/regenerate the drawing, more than 10 seconds, for something that shouldn't be noticeable! Now imagine it with a bigger assembly, or bigger drawing (trust me, it's not funny). My old C2D laptop was A LOT FASTER than it!

This machine is using the latest drivers and BIOS from Dell, latest Solidworks software, and Windows 7 Home Premium with automatic updates. It has a i5 processor, 8gb of ram, 500gb@7200rpm hdd and dual GPU system (Intel HD Graphics 3000 and AMD/ATI Radeon 6630M), which, unfortunately, doesn't work! It's a fully capable machine, but Dell system is faulty.

The problem is that Dell switchable graphics system doesn't detect when a OpenGL application requests for REAL GPU resources, and doesn't send these requests to the ATI GPU, but instead, sends it to the Intel GPU, which is fine if you just use your laptop to access Facebook. Sadly, for me, most (if not all) CAD applications are OpenGL-based, so, anything that I install on my machine that uses OpenGL will be this load of crap.

Keegi on sellise probleemiga kokku puutunud ja kas seda annab ise kuidagi muuta või pole mõtet sellisel juhul sellise isendi poole mõelda??
