1:57 Attrition and physical interactions
Raising skill floor/ceiling and increasing squad play.
No more full health regen. You have stages and you only regenerate to the stage you're in, to get past that you need medpacks.
Everything you do requires player input and results in visible action. If you need health, you need to go to a med station and interact with that option. You'll see an animation and then you'll regen. If you need ammo, you have to go pick it up.
No more magic passive "auras" that heal or resupply you.
No more auto ledge jumping, you have to time it.
No automatic spotting.
3:30 Spotting changes
No more shooting at 3d icons and playing off the minimap.
You have to scan the world and listen. "did that tall grass over there just move?"
Contextual ping system? No specified details yet.
Spawning with less ammo.
More ways to get ammo. Ammo packs, supply crates, supply depots that you can build on flags, can even loot ammo from dead enemies... all have a physical interaction. no more magic AoE effects.
Introduces a step of planning and prep. Eliminating that spawn-run-die cycle a little, resulting in a more strategic and tactical gameplay loop.
Giving more depth and making the game more interesting. Teamplay oriented. Much more challenging
5:50 Revive system changes
No longer just sticking needle into lifeless ragdoll.
There's a full revive animation that takes a few seconds. During animation, you'll come face to face with that person and see their soldier's customization, face paint, gear, etc.
You can initiate the animation from any angle and your soldier will keep a low profile. You can cancel the animation at any time. Definite player choice and action that takes time to complete.
Reviving is no longer limited to what class you are. Buddy revive is longer than a medic revive and will not revive you to full health.
When you get "killed" and are in a reviveable state (the period where previously you're watching your killer) you can look around and physically call out for help (like the guy on the stairs in the trailer). Or you can force a bleedout.
6:25 Ragdoll changes
Ragdolls are now server side. If a teammate's body is in the street, you can drag them into cover before reviving them. You can drag freely.
Everyone is synced up to the position of bodies on the ground. Ragdolls now have physics. If a body rolls down a hill, it will knock over grass or make a splash in a puddle.
7:55 Gunplay
No more visual recoil, every gun has a unique recoil profile to reduce randomness and allow a player to master a gun. More accuracy and precision.
If your hand is on trigger and facing forward, you can shoot. If you vault with one hand, you can shoot still, just inaccurately. Can shoot while jumping, from apex to down, still inaccurate.
Bullet penetration, shoot through thinwalls/sheet metal/wood. "If you have an MG42 and you want to demolish the squad you saw run into that building, go ahead."
9:20 Movement
You can now dive, in any direction. And you can dive backwards and stay on your back and shoot. Big delay after dive before you can shoot, to prevent cheesing this feature.
Crouch sprint added for people who want to run cover to cover and maintain a lower profile.
Can burst out of windows and commando roll upon landing. No more needing to break windows before diving.
Third person character models interact more. Player will knock grass down. Running through water will result in a high knees style of run. Characters will put weight into things.
10:42 Grenades
Can now throw back form the ground. Even catch them in the air and throw back, or shoot them.
With new attrition and limited ammo, less grenade spam.
11:00 Towing
Certain vehicles (tanks and trucks) can tow things, like stationary guns. Can be used while being towed.
You can be supply guy who tows meds and ammo in a truck to teammates on the front lines.
You can tow field cannons with a tiger tank.
Tow stationary AA weapons to more strategic locations. Use your fortifications to build a cannon nearby.
Be creative. Makes for a more sandboxy game. Make your own frontlines.
I love this feature, personally. When I joined the franchise with BC2, I fell in love with the sandboxy style of gameplay. Do whatever you want to help you team. Also why I didn't like BF1 that much. Limited in the sandbox department.
11:40 Destruction
Revamped and more drawn out.
If you shoot a shell into a building and it explodes inside, windows and walls will explode outwards. if the explosion is outside, building will break inwards.
If a tank drives through a building, all the destruction animations wont happen at once, the walls will crack and bend depending on where the tank is driving through. debris will fly and drop on the tank, bricks. Parts of the wall will drop over time.
12:30 Squads
squad play is heavily focused. Devs say most fun in BF is with a squad (true). Automatically put in a squad upon joining a match, but you can still leave.
New squad spawn system. If you die and are not revived, you'll now go to squad deploy screen before tactical map screen. On this screen, you'll get a full screen third person view of what your squad members are doing in real time. You can switch between them, just like call of duty spectating. Spawning on squad is quicker than going to map screen.
If your squad is wiped, you'll be forced into tactical map screen, drawing out the respawn process of the whole squad.
If you're the last surviving member, you'll get a notification. You should be careful and plan moves well to avoid a wipe. Much more impactful to get wiped.
You'll get to see who's deploying on who in a squad.
14:00 Rewards for squad play
Squad call-ins. If you do well as a squad, you'll accumulate squad points for the squad leader to spend.
V1 or JB2 rockets, supply drops with ammo/health, smoke barrage, heavy weapon pickups (not hero kits, they are gone, as are behemoths), or squad only vehicles.
15:20 Classes and customization
4 classes return, assault medic scout support
You create a soldier and add them to your "company" and you can customize them. Gender, face, face paint, hair, wearing, hats, helmets, jackets, pants, shorts, prosthetic arms, and a class archetype. Highly customizable within skill tree system.

Each archetype can specialize in somthing.
For assault, you can specialize in anti tank or anti infantry. There are highly specialized archetypes called exotics.
Example: Recon paratrooper. Stealthy short range behind enemy lines who uses suppressed SMG. Comes equipped with silent footsteps, smokes, and throwing knives.
Can unlock other things like agility, flak armor, suppressive resistance. The more you play a class, the more you can level it and unlock specializations and archetypes. I wonder if this works more like the abilities in BF4 where the longer you stay alive you get these abilities, or whether they function more like perks in Call of Duty.
Same thing with weapons. Specializations can be unlocked for each gun. Can also unlock visual changes stocks, sights, muzzles, chassis, skins, leaves, cloth, straps. They are separate things.
Again, same with tanks. Can unlock paint jobs, sand bags, boxes, teddy bears, horses heads, bottles. Lots of visual flair.
Assymetrical vehicle system. Each side doesn't get the same archetype of vehicle. One side might get a slow, tanky tank, other side might get more of a glass cannon.
18:45 Grand operations
Operations on steroids. Gist is over the space of 4 fictional days, each match is a day. You always go over the span of first three days, won't end early if the attacking team fails, like operations did in BF1.
Different objectives each day, can be changed modularly.
Day 1 you might be paratrooping to take bombs to destroy positions. Actually jumping out of a plane when you choose to.
Day 2 the main invasion force breaks in and you know have sector capture, like bf1 operations. How good or bad you did on day 1 will impact day 2. say you destroy only one or two artillery guns in day 1, youll notice that on day 2. youll have less respawns or less access to vehicles.
Day 3 switch to new map on the frontline (he didn't really explain this third day much).
Day 4 is optional, and only if there isn't a clear winner on day 3. called final stand. Extremely tense game mode where you only get one life. Significantly reduced resources, could be extreme weather. Fight to last man standing.
Since these are modular, dice can change them on the fly.
20:50 Combined Arms
Four players play through a variety missions. With high stakes choices. You can push for more or you can pull out early for less rewards.
DICE built a dynamic AI mission creator, with new challenges and mission objectives to keep it fresh.
Sits between single and MP. Creative sandbox to learn ropes and have fun.
Will feed into your "company." Can use your soldiers in both MP and co op. Rewards you earn in co-op can be used on your company and seen in MP (i think).
General closing
No answers from devs on suppression
All logic can be controlled server side. No need for big updates and patches for small changes.
Communication will be better between devs and community.
Progression arc and content drops called Tides of War.
Daily, weekly and monthly challenges with overarching chapters and questlines that reward you with unique items and cosmetics. New maps, modes, and limited time experiences.
Confirmed modes: Conquest, grand ops, tdm, and domination.
Transport vehicles are live in game, attack vehicles spawn from tactical map.
TL;DR: Most important striking changes: lack of health regen, lack of ammo, fortifications, skill based gunplay, squad revives and emphasis on squad play, 3d spotting changes, minimal hud
On paper, much deeper and more engaging, tactical game.

Nagu BF1 + Avatar + Furiosa (Mad Max-ist) oleks omavahel kebensit teinud ja tulemuseks on BF V naistegelane.

Samuti mainitakse, et kõiki 4 sõduriklassi saab muuta oma soovide järgi. Kaasa arvatud sugu. Niiet olge valmis häbisse jääma, kui terve rühm naiskaraktereid või isegi terve tiim teile pähe teeb. Huvitav, kas DICE paneb kindlad reeglid serveritele, et adminnid ei soosiks ainult üht sugu "No males allowed!"?
